What is the expectation for "Sport" mode? Will it run like the Bronco Sport?

Do people think they can challenge Mustangs, Camaros, and Challengers?

Without Sport Mode, is the fear the Wrangler will race ahead from a stop light?

Is there an underground SUV and crossover drag racing circle I'm not aware of? Sport sounds fun - but are Normal and Eco programs designed to take 310 horsepower and make it feel like 90?
The expectation is that it maximizes what the truck can do on the street...and like you said ā€œfunā€. If I can run 35s and still easily pass and pull out into traffic easily and fly up mountain roads with out constant shifting, then I want that.

I’m torn on it...I can see shifting manually, but is throttle response less in normal mode? Lack of Sport mode really is one factor pushing me off Badlands down to BD, if I can’t get comfortable on how this will effect things.
Throttle is usually less "sensitive" in normal mode compared to sport mode, but is that really that big a deal? You just need to press your right foot down a little bit further...

So you think Normal mode can't merge into traffic? That is the fear?

My 2011 F150 doesn't have such do-dads. You might call it 'always in normal mode'. I can merge and fly past traffic with a simple adjustment of the foot. I've passed cars dragging a 5,000 pound trailer going uphill (admittedly, the engine was working).

I'm just wary of "sport" just being "25% bigger" on food containers - all glitz and little real 'value'.

Again, if this was a sports car - maybe I'd be concerned. But this is an off-road-vehicle and people mover - so 0-60 times don't need to be in the 3 second range.

Cool, you do you. You don’t want it, awesome.

I want the capability. I want as much pick up as possible on the road in a truck with 35s. There is a reason Ford puts it on everything they sell, except apparently Badlands.

I think you may regret giving up sway bar, better suspension or optional high or lux packages for sport mode, unless you didn’t want those features. It’s annoying there’s no sport mode but I’m pretty sure you can put Baja into 2H if you want more throttle response. And it’s a 5k lb off road vehicle, it’s not going to make a huge difference on the pavement.
Baja will require the vehicle to be in 4A . . . same as with the Raptor.

And first edition...

This will be fun to check up on when we are actually driving the Bronco. The 2022 people will be getting a lot of interesting information eventually.

Brain: Ford please add Sport mode.

Big Brain: Hack your own Sport with Forscan

Galaxy brain: Drive in Eco long enough that Normal becomes Sport mode.

The "fear" is that having a normal mode and a eco mode is simply redundant. Or that eco mode is so eco that it's undrivable.

The fear? It's sheer horror.

But really, people can have minor complaints like this and still want the overall product.

Since it's 100 percent software, I wonder if Ford will offer updates in the future, or if people will "jailbreak" it.
