Ok, hear me out. I received my Bronco hammock so I can “hang in there.” It got me thinking…
I’m getting a 2 dr… someday. I’ll put a soft top on it. I was wondering if some sort of bottomless tent could be set up over the top of the Bronco. Put on some bars to attach the hammock to. In my mind’s eye, you could have all your camping gear inside, go anywhere without a trailer. Have the back seats down, put the front seats forward… I think something like this truck bed tent would work. There are apparently a few.
Like these:
I would do a regular roof top tent, but my dog would never get up there!

thoughts?

I'm not sure how well that idea is going to work for a 2dr, they're so short.

My brother uses one of those truck tents in his F150 but watching him set it up looks like a pain, vs some ground tents that virtually pop up and are ready to go.

Put your tent on the ground. 2 door will be too cramped.

Maybe something like this?
Pretty sure there’s one of these in the Ford Accessory guide as well, if you want to overpay for a tent.

There’s always a way to make an idea come to life - It just takes time and money.

I like the idea of being off the ground, but I agree the 2dr is likely too small. I haven’t seen a 2dr in person yet, let alone taken measurements.

If you get the hitch package, just sleep in your Bronco hammock.

If they could make that, but with a slightly larger opening to drive in and out of, maybe a rolling door that's motorized for convenience, hard sides for durability, a sturdier roof, and a concrete pad, and then if they could fix that to my house, we might just have something here.

You had better be under 4ft tall to sleep in a 2-door.
