Hi all,

New to the group. I’ve had my 24 Raptor for almost four months now and am liking it more and more as I adjust to daily driving it in the city.

I’ve been playing along at home since Broncos were announced and then watched spy photos of the warthog leak out. I was going to get a Sasquatch, but my wife surprisingly insisted that it was a Raptor or nothing after a test drive. I was waiting for the 2025s to come out in hopes of a better stereo, plus the bonus rear seat vents. I was searching AutoTrader in February and found exactly the shelter green with matching fenders and roof that I wanted. It was priced $20K cheaper than I could find anything similar locally, so I jumped on it. (It seemed to be the only one for sale in the country with a matching roof.). Shipping it made me nervous and was a bit of a pain, but it all worked out in the end.
I grew up with my dad and uncles all having one or more of the original, and I had a used Bronco II out of college. They were all great, but I’m really excited to get back into a modern one.

So far, I have replaced the four corner speakers with Infinity reference. They are okay but not quite as loud as the factory ones and lack the mid-bass the originals had. Others have reported an increase in volume, so maybe Ford is making small improvements as they go. But, the Infinity sound is much better, clear with much better reproduction and no hollowness. I put the Amazon PRV in the center dash. I’m impressed with the mids and highs for the money, but I want to find something with a warmer tone to replace it.

Next on my list is to tackle the wind noise from the back seat, which is getting worse as it breaks in.

Looks sharp!

Audio upgrades are pretty different if you are starting with base audio or the B&O system. Base system is typically much easier / lower cost to upgrade, but B&O sounds better (how much better is subjective) starting out.
