I think if you come from trucks, the Bronco experience is a very enjoyable and pleasant surprise. If you come from a M-B S-Class, Bronco is a very loud, horrible ride that doesn't corner very well. That's an awesome surprise for the GF. Glad she approved. Happy 2026!
Exactly - it is a body on frame truck and should be judged as such.
which is what I do! If I wanted a car that looked like an SUV, I would have bought a Honda Passport…

Cross post from the ‘what did u do today?’ thread:

Added scuff guards before the sills get scuffed - especially from my pitt/collie mix Riley's claws when he jumps in and out! $30 from Amazon

Attached rear mud guards from Weathertech. The fit is good and they look nice on but:

1. The 'dril-less' claim is weak as you need to screw through the plastic bumper inner.
2. Really a two person job as you need to reach inside the plastic bumper shell while tightening the screws from the outside. I managed, but really awkward and frustrating.
3. The mudguard material seems very stiff, so I would not be surprised if it cracks if heavily scrapped while off roading. We'll see.

The front ones will be installed in the near future.

The Goodyears when new throw gravel like nobody's business. You've got the running boards for protection, which is good, otherwise the fronts would be the priority mud flap.

The front weathertecs are poop. Weird fit where thre is an outer bolt hole to nowhere but this will vibrate where it hits the stock piece. Also drilless is bogus, because there is a spot where you have to drill through the liner.
will send these back.

The Mabetts or IAG work fine in the front even with our rectangular fenders. I did need to buy longer speed nuts to get everything to line up.

Drove my Miata Club Sport w the power retractable hard top today for the first time since I bought my Bronco.
Crazy thing the Bronco is way quieter inside! My Mazda is stock, perfect condition - only 29k miles - driven with the roof up and windows closed.

I was able to drive a Mazda Miata… the 4th gen Mazda owner and I swapped seats with my GT350.
He drove my Shelby in the curvy roads in North Georgia and I rode shotgun.
We then switched cars and drove the same route as I drove his Miata.
I thought I was getting it through the corners, and looked down at the speedometer, and I was doing the speed limit.
*** I completely understand now***
You have got to drive these things to fully appreciate how great they are to drive.

About a year later, me and 4 other GT350 owners were driving on a straight highway to go hit the twisty curves in North Georgia, and a group of probably 15+ Miatas passed us while also going towards the twisties.
My window was down because Flat Plane Crank noise outside, and I gave a thumbs up to all of the passing Miatas.
Once in the twisties, the GT350 group stopped for your standard photo op, and one of the guys behind me said, “Why were you giving those Miatas a thumbs up? They are no match for our Shelbys.”
I replied, “Drive one… you will fully understand why I did that!”

@Desmolicious Which generation is the “Club Sport“
I am not wise on the Mazda nomenclature…. Just have great respect for those little go-carts!

Oh, congrats on the new Bronco…. These things are a blast.
Sign up for the Bronco Off-Roadeo while you have availability… you will not be disappointed!!!

Side note:
I’m going to Windrock with several other folks in mid February… 1 or 2 of them may be in a 10-wheel drive vehicle. You are welcome to join us.
I will send a PM once exact details get decided.
