New issue with the front Eibach coil over install.

At least I have never heard of this issue. I used the lower control arm removal method and took care not to over extend the axle that I have heard is the biggest issue with this approach. I strapped the back of the knuckle to the frame to make sure the axle would not over extend. The strap was not tight but just secure enough keep it from moving out much. The front of the hub was secured with the tie rod so it was not going anywhere.

What I discovered when assembling is some how I got the lower control arm in too far. I had a difficult time getting the control arm back out far enough to get it back into the slots on the frame. I used a jack to lift the control arm and had to little by little pull it out to get it in the slots where the lower control arm fits. I didn't have to use a lot of force to pull out but it was not easy either. Once I got the control arms in the slots it was pretty easy to get the holes aligned to get the bolts in.

Here in my question, is there anything I could have damaged by getting hub too far in on the axle.

Later when I did the other side, I made sure to not push the control arm in and it went back together easily.

I don't think you have damaged anything, It's conceivable you could break joints in the drive axles if you forced it back to together, or drove it with the hub in far enough to cause binding in components, but it sounds like everything was in it's normal range when you finished up, so you should be fine.

I did not force it in. I am not sure how it got too far in but I never applied force to get it there. I did apply a little force on the control arm to get it back out to get the holes aligned for the bolts but I didn't consider it excessive.

I am getting ready to take it for a test drive but so far it looks fine.
