Hi all. I have an OBX in Carbonized Gray on order and have been scheduled to the week of 3/28. With that email I began the search for a wheel/tire set up. I’m looking to go with a 305/70R17. I’m a big fan of 17 inch wheels on rigs but wouldn’t be opposed to an 18 inch set up. From what I can tell a 0 offset will pull them flush on a 9 inch wide wheel. Can anyone confirm my monkey math and assumptions? I would really appreciate it. I will be going with a leveling kit as well, BDS looks like they will be releasing something soon but am open to suggestions there as well. I’m excited to join this community as I’m active on the Raptor and GT500 forums.

No you're a bit off. You'll need a positive offset to get flush. I have 315s on 8.5 wide +18 with standard flares and have inch of tread poking out and another inch of sidewall.

Assume you’re non sas given no mention. If so, completely agree with @Tricky Dick here. I’m running +12 offset with standard flare and definitely not flush. Couple inches of poke.

I really appreciate the replies. Does anyone have a suggestion on leveling kits?

A +30 offset with 305 tires, this seems like it’ll be flush with maybe a tiny bit of poke. Anyone running a +30 that has pics?

James, this calculator will help you a lot. I know it helped me a bunch. I used the tire comparison part, and then the offset comparison. Now, if I can just get a build date. :)

This one will help you see the difference of the offsets.

I appreciate this so much! That’s helped quite a bit. I am going to go with a 305/70R17 on a 17x9 +30 offset. If my measurements are correct I’ll end up just flush or with a tiny bit of poke which I am good with. I ordered the 4wheel Parts leveling kit and it shipped yesterday. I’ll order wheels and tires this coming week. I am excited to get her in and get these goodies put on.
Here’s to hoping you get yours in soon! I got to drive an OBX as well as a Wildtrack. They are awesome vehicles!

I think you'll be happy with the +30 offset. I spoke with my guy at our local Discount Tire about that offset with the 285/70R17. He said the +30 should put the threads close to flush with the outside of the fender, with a little poke of the sidewall. The 305's may be a bit more. He's pretty smart about that stuff, so I hope he's right.

Congrats, looks great. Your build/blend date was 3/28 and you picked it up 4/19? Is that not the fastest production to delivery for a Bronco yet? If only FMC was able to fulfill orders this fast for all their customers

+30 Sasquatch wheels on my non-Sasquatch Bronco. 315/70/17. If I had the Sasquatch flares they would take away the small amount of poke. The offset is in mm and there are 25.4 mm per inch so a zero offset would give me another 1.18” of poke.

FWIW, Mine was 3/29 blend and it arrived at my dealer 630 miles from the MAP on 3/13 and I got it the next day.

Can’t say I’m surprised anymore @ Ford Motor Company and the cluster Fk this whole process is 🤦‍♂️ I guess they can always blame the shipping companies
