I gotta say, with my current Bronco, I don't know why I would be looking at a second off road vehicle.
A truck - yeah, I get that (although I wouldn't be looking at a Raptor or Bison edition or anything - just something comfortable enough with a pickup bed to throw crap in and can haul a trailer). A more comfortable SUV for daily driving. Maybe even a sedan or sports car if you just want something with a different stance.
But it's not like you can drive 2 offroad vehicles at the same time.
Anyway that's just me - maybe some people who offroad all the time want some variety.
I rented a 4XE once. It had 0 charge in the battery when I rented it. It never got above 1% charge while driving. When the battery is dead the thing was a dog to drive... but maybe on a rental it just wasn't set up correctly or something, but it really left a poor impression every time it would regenerate a bit of power, it would go and dump it at some random dumb time. The interior was great though, and wow - a radio and HVAC that actually work and don't hiccup/go black screen and a HVAC system that can put heat on my feet. But I was glad to get back to my Bronco.
