On the color front, I think Ford had a big opportunity, especially with the first edition, to tap into their library of historical bronco colors. There are some really great ones in there. They could have also potentially offered a Wimbleton White accent package to further tie it to the history of the brand. Finally, maybe an option in the digital display to turn back the clock on the cluster to something that would connect it to the broncos that came before and offer users a simpler historically correct experience. That said, I am going to be happy with Velocity Blue, but would love to see boxwood green.

Nobody chooses brown. They give you brown. I've been asking for green for a couple years now. I'm 80% sure they will give us some sort of green. If it is a cyber green, I hope it doesn't have so much yellow in it

Brother in law tried to get a Telluride a few months ago. There was a months long wait and a $3,000+ dealer markup. Makes Bronco seem like a deal.

The only two colors that need added are OD Green and Desert Sand both with matte clearcoat finish.

Still salty about the omission of a decent green at launch.

I just hope they don't jump on the OD Green hype train. The Jeep bros and CoD playing ammosexuals have about beaten that trend into the ground.

boxwood or mallard, although as many times as I have posted this the mallard doesn't get much love so I may have to order a white and paint the outside!

1969 was a good year for Ford Green paint. I would be happy if either one of these were an option.

Funny how we got cactus grey. ...but 1970 had cactus green. Think that would of been a super winner!

With the way things are going I expect 22 to be a full on carry over of 21 with the exception of the late availability options.

That said

Competition orange please lol
That's what I was thinking BB. With the problems Ford is having getting the thing into production you can just imagine the turmoil a color change/addition could cause. :ROFLMAO:

The color of dirt.

With what they're doing with the shape shifting colors that we can't even tell what it is because it changes from every different angle and in every different light they can do this with some mix of browns, tans, and greens.

3M has some film that was designed to camouflage utilities. It looks silver or reflective until you step away from it then it just matches the colors around it. Make a paint that does that.

Pretty much exactly this. With production delays and the "talent" (term used very, very, very loosely in this situation) Ford has utilized with colors/materials for Bronco, We should be hoping they don't make any changes, rather than looking forward to possible changes.

Ford Bronco New 2022 Color Possibilities? 200[1]

You mean the only way it should have been introduce? The Ford engineers hit the design out of the park in every way possible but colors and interior people have been stepping on their own dicks the whole time.
Not to skim over the girth of your quote, normally you have to pay double to watch that sort of thing.

Okay, since the topic of this thread has already been beaten in other threads, and it preeeeeeeeeeety much instantly devolves into "Ford should have offered ________ (insert: "green", "stupid military colors", "make it look like concrete!", "make everything grayscale, i'm colorblind", etc.)", i'll try and comment on the actual topic at hand (just like in the other threads).

It's highly unlikely that Ford will make more than one or two color changes, if any. Traditionally Ford will offer a brand new vehicle launch with one or two "launch colors" that get to be as special as Navy Pier interior. They get replaced with nearly the same colors, but usually something that will actually get purchased in volume.

2019 "Launch colors" for Ranger

  • Saber, which somehow survived for 2020, gone for 2021. Bronco has Cyber Orange which is also a Bronco color, so it should stick around for 2 model years.
Ford Bronco New 2022 Color Possibilities? Saber-2019-Ranger-XLT-1[1]
Personal feeling on Saber, having seen it in person a few times: ?

  • Hot Pepper Red, which was immediately replaced by Race Red in 2020. This color was confusing in person. Wayyyyy too orange. Again, Ranger and Bronco share paint colors with Race Red and Rapid Red for 2021 and most likely into 2023.
Ford Bronco New 2022 Color Possibilities? ranger2a

  • Ford changes their metallic blue color every 2-4 years. Lightning Blue just phased out for 2021 Ranger with VB being the new metallic blue for both. I would estimate this stays around for 3-4 years unless Ford changes the color fleet-wide.

  • Platnium White was the second up-charge paint color for Ranger in 2021. It's been dropped entirely, assuming you consider Saber to have changed to Cyber Orange.
Given covid, delays in manufacturing and the marketplace right now, I would be absolutely SHOCKED if Ford made any exterior paint changes to Bronco as it would also have to do so for Ranger, and they juuuuuuuuuuust unified the paint pallet for that factory across all models built there.
