If the market / car bubble pops, will you still pay MSRP to your dealer?

100% I will. All is fair in love and war. LOL

I plan to order in August, and my dealer said i would pay MSRP and i am good with that, even in this crazy fuel, inflation, stock market, housing etc. environment.

Yes. Unless they drop the price I’m paying what we agreed on. My dealership has given everyone MSRP from what I’ve read and heard. I respect that and don’t mind dealing with quality folks for a slight premium.

If I was still waiting, I would since it was the agreed to price when I ordered.

but I have a hard time believing car prices will plummet. maybe demand for trucks comes down due to gas prices, but I believe the bronco is special. my understanding is production of gases needed to make chips are now constrained so I don’t see the “chip shortage” ending any time soon. might even get worse.

I was never paying MSRP to begin with. I've also never paid MSRP or close to it for any vehicle and my Bronco will be no different.

When I placed my order, dealer stated in writing MSRP to include any rebates available at time of delivery. So yes, I would expect rebates if offered.

BUT.... even if the bubble pops, there are so few Broncos I bet they still have no problem selling them without rebates.

Even if at some future date vehicles become easily available for well below MSRP again, that will be a discount from a highly inflated MSRP compared to 2020 MSRP. We're never going to see like 20%+ deflation in the purchase price of new Broncos.

Last Ford truck I purchased was for $9k under, seems like if you were willing to wait on the rebates, F150s were always $7-9k under MSRP. So with Fords pricing history paying $2000 under MSRP seems like paying $5000+ ADM.

Have you made that agreement with your dealership yet?
sounds like another abandoned order coming soon.

yup, SAC -$1000 below invoice, scheduled next week. They've sold over 100 at that price level so far.
