My brothers first bike was a yzf600r, those Yamaha racing blue bikes of the early 2000s were gorgeous. Every time I see one of these for sale I’m tempted.Always had a bike along with a car since I was basically old enought to drive. Even got in an accident which resulted in major surgery and me not being able to walk for a year (still can't run). Yet I kept riding.
Fast foward a couple decades, and when my son was born, every time I had a close call or was taking a turn on a curvy mountain road (with a cliff), all I could think about is what would happen to my family.
So sold my last one. Miss it, but was the right decision.

My better half is 5'6" and has no problem on the back. Prefers it without the panniers only because she hits the sharp edges getting on and offCan you have a passenger on the KTM with those side cans?
Looks like it would push their feet forward so the pegs would be under their heels, and then their toes would be into your calves![]()
Oh man!! I almost don’t know where to begin. It’s by far the most fun and enjoyable bike I’ve owned or ridden. Torque for days. Yes, it’ll hit triple digits and corner really well all day long, but I’ve found I have the most fun between 40-60 doesn’t matter If it’s dirt or paved. Has crazy suspension travel too.Jealous of that scrambler 1200, what’s that like to ride?
Physically is it bigger or smaller than the Street Triple?Oh man!! I almost don’t know where to begin. It’s by far the most fun and enjoyable bike I’ve owned or ridden. Torque for days. Physically bigger, bit longer wheelbase, and where I was easily flat footed on the triple (knees bent) I’m on my tiptoes on the scrambler. I’m 5’10”-11”ish. Lol shrinking in my later years. That said I enjoy the upright riding position.Physically is it bigger or smaller than the Street Triple?
My bad I thought those were dirt bikes, do they make street legal?Feeling offended that my motorcycle (Gas Gas) isn't on this list.
And now I am doubly offended that you do not consider dirt bikes as motorcycles. My bad I thought those were dirt bikes, do they make street legal?
Yeah they were/are. And I used to laugh at the guys that bought the R6 and couldn't stand sitting on that hard seat for more than an hour or two. I could sit on that nice Kush seat forever. My brothers first bike was a yzf600r, those Yamaha racing blue bikes of the early 2000s were gorgeous. Every time I see one of these for sale I’m tempted.
I’m offended you have space to ride dirt bikesAnd now I am doubly offended that you do not consider dirt bikes as motorcycles.
Nah, it's cool. I've got a Ducati for street use so you're all good.
