Modular bumper kit questions.

I’m thinking of doing the after sale FRPP modular bumper kit. It comes with a skid. I also would like to do the FRPP skid plate kit. It says for modular bumper, and includes a front skid. Is there a difference in the two? Just not sure why the same part would be in both kits m, especially since the skid plate kit says it requires the bumper.

I wonder what the difference is between the skid for the modular bumper and the skid for the standard and capable bumpers are. My understanding is the metal skid for the capable bumper will fit with the OEM plastic.

I think capable and mod have the same fitment for metal skid, but I thought the capable defaulted to a plastic skid unless you optioned the skid package? The plastic bumper uses a bit longer plastic skid plate though. Not entirely certain on that though

I don’t know. My wife has a 2024 black diamond. It has the capable bumper and the full skid set up

Black Diamond and Badlands both came with metal skids as part of the trim. Other packages don't get them unless optioned.

There's only two part numbers for the full underbody skid plates - one for 4 door and one for 2 door.

So if your wife has the Capable bumper and the full set, then yeah, it's the same one as would be used with the Mod bumper and they take the same kit.

It seems like the fitment issues may be the base bumper frame mounted tow hooks.
