Email sent from Ford to dealerships:Well.... texted Chad at Lithia Springs Ford and he said that yesterday Ford sent an email saying that they would not be honoring XPlan. Looks like I'm transferring....
Howdy neighbor!Moved my reservation to Stephens today. Got tired of waiting to hear back from Krause here in Woodstock knowing it would just be MSRP and bs fees. Assuming this goes well I may never buy local again. I always assumed it would be a hassle to shop out of your area for the best deal.
Run Forrest Run !!I just heard back from the Jim Tidwell GM. He says they are charging a $5000 premium on the FE MSPR on the other models. No plan purchases. I reserved the FE so I may need to change dealers, if possible.
What dealership was this? A dealership in Jasper that I have two reservations with said all the same stuff. My soon to be ex-Atlanta dealer called me last week to come in for my build. Now, I've known for a while I would probably move my reservation to a more consumer friendly location, but, I thought I should at least see where I fell on their list - as a day three reservation holder generally I'm looking at a '22 but worth a try.
So, first I ask where did I fall with their allocations. He tells me how could he possibly know - Ford has 190,000 orders so that's impossible. So I decided to be more specific for him. I ask how many orders does your dealership have and where might I fall today (knowing things change). He told me he really didn't or couldn't tell me, but it was really more important that I come in as soon as possible, the sooner I ordered the better my chances would be. After I told him that wasn't the case, and as long as I order before the March deadline, the only timestamp that matters is my initial reservation. He was adamant that the ordering timestamp played a key role in when I would get my new Bronco. I told him thank you and I'll call back when I'm ready.
This is all to say again, Buyer beware of Atlanta dealerships.

Did you move your reservation yet?A dealership in Sandy Springs
Not yet. I've talked to a few out of area dealerships that I like and just need to decide, but don't see a reason to rush - doesn't move me up any closer in line.Did you move your reservation yet?
At least they bothered to try to jerk you around, I couldn’t even get a call back. I’ll be taking my business elsewhere for post-Bronco purchases as well.I changed my dealership last week. I was at Angela Krause and they were ultra shady. They were very hesitant about putting numbers in writing until I after it showed up. When I pressed the issue, the price we had discussed evaporated and suddenly went up thousands. Basically it would be MSRP, $900 doc fee, bullshit add-ons like tire nitrogen and window VIN etching, a $1k non-refundable deposit once a VIN was created, and they wanted me to trust them that we could work it all out when it arrived. It was honestly ridiculous.
In general, they wanted me to convert the order, give them a non-refundable $1k deposit, and agree to work out terms later. I can guarantee they will try to charge well over MSRP, and if you balk at it they take your $1k deposit and your Bronco and put it on the lot for $10k over MSRP.
I called a few friends, and on a recommendation bought from another metro area dealer about 45 minutes away from me. I got invoice, plus a $500 doc fee, all in writing and up front. The sales manager talked to me like an actual intelligent adult and didn't try and feed me BS. The order is an and I have an out the door price in writing that was exactly what we discussed.
If you are reserved with Angela Krause, I would highly recommend looking elsewhere. After this experience, not only did the lose my Bronco sale, but I will not even consider them when we buy a Lincoln Aviator for the family hauler.
