Hello all,

I'm trying to determine if I have a one-of-a-kind Ford Bronco. I recently purchased a light bar designed for my model year, but when I received it, it didn't fit the mounting posts. Upon measuring, I found that the mounting holes of the light bar are 40 7/8 inches apart, while the center posts on my Bronco's roof measure 40 5/8 inches apart. This results in a discrepancy of a full quarter inch. While that may not sound like much, the steel is 3/8 inch thick and powder-coated, meaning it won't bend without significant force.

The company that makes these light bars has informed me that they produce hundreds of them and that I'm the only customer who has reported a fitting issue. Now I'm beginning to wonder if my Bronco might be the cause of the problem.

I did a quick search on the forums, but I only found roof rack measurements rather than what I need. Could someone please share the measurements of their roof mounting center posts as shown in the photo below? Thank you in advance!

Just curious did you buy from FCK Light Bars? My kid ordered a curved bar from them a month or 2 ago. The 1st set of brackets were supposedly meant for a straight bar (didn't work). 2nd set for a curved bar didn't work. When I reached out to them they said 1st time making those brackets for a Bronco (curved bar) so it was a total guess. I ended up having those brackets cut and welded to make them work. On top of that, the relay in their wiring harness appeared to not be working. Was told they'd ship a new harness which they never did.

Anyway, more of the story is, sometimes the light bar manufacturer has no clue what brackets to send/make. Could be be bad brackets.

Actually, it was GGlighting. It seems the light bar's holes were exactly 40 7/8" apart. Too far for my posts to make up the difference. Perhaps if it were just a 1/8" off, I could've made it work, but a full 1/4" was just too far with the gauge of steel used. Too bad, because I liked the bar, but I couldn't make it fit without risking bending or breaking the posts I have. What's odd is that they claim to have mass-produced and sold hundreds of them with no complaints from anyone. Apparently, I'm the lucky one with the odd posts? I'm not sure if it's me or the bar, hence why I'm asking the forums to see what everyone else has. I would've thought they'd be consistent, but already there's at least one who posted 40 3/4" versus my 40 5/8".
