Yes, it is. Pulls power from the stock usb port connections.

I will say, works MUCH better... Actually charges (versus maintains power) and has fast-charging capabilities.

Was tough getting that wire fished down though. I ended up using my wire/snake-cam, with light, to help guide the way and pull it out. Much patience required...

@Mabett this ever going to be available again? or at least, the usb dongle for tying into the usb down low vs the hero switches? I ask because my first gen usb dock seems to be dying and working quite intermittently. pretty far out for anything resembling warranty, and would like to buy a new/better one.

I believe IAGOFFROAD sells the same one, with a 3 year warranty.
