Hey all, have a 2023 lux package with both integrated turn signals and puddle lights that go on when you unlock the truck on the side mirrors.

Did anyone change out either or both of these bulbs for Amber colored ones? I upgraded most of my front lighting including Amber running lights and I’m trying to match the lighting. Thanks.

This might not be exactly what you're looking for but you could try an amber tint overlay if you don't mind the amber color when it's off

Kapton tape over your lights? Pile on the layers until you got the shade you want. a roll of Kapton is about $13

These are ditch/spot lights. Each has it's own switch. Not super bright, but they are better than nothing.

Wish that someone made a replacement ditch/spot light that included an amber DRL and turn signals. There is a similar version available, but you loose the ditch/spot lights. I'd like to keep the ditch/spot functionality.

It’s worth double-checking whether those mirror turn signals and puddle lights are OE LED units or traditional halogen bulbs. On a lot of newer trucks (especially higher trim packages), manufacturers are moving to fully integrated LED assemblies for those features, which means the ā€œbulbā€ itself isn’t serviceable or swappable.

If they are integrated LEDs, your options are pretty limited — tinting the lens is usually the easiest way to get an amber look without replacing the entire assembly. If they’re halogen, then a bulb swap could be possible, but I’d definitely verify first before pulling anything apart. OEMs are making customization harder every year, unfortunately.

On my 2025 OBX, the horizontal facing spot/ditch lights are LED's. I removed the piece from the side view mirror shell and could see I believe 2 LED's through the clear plastic shell.

I was seeing if they could further be disassembled so that I could add an "amber" LED emitter. Separating the shell did NOT seem to be possible. I'm no electrician, but you can buy small emitters that just need a round hole drilled to install that either have a 2-wire or 3-wire connection.

If somebody just had the ability to re-create the clear shell with 2 LED's for the spot/ditch, and then 2 more LED's in "amber" for turn and daylight running it would be awesome in my opinion. Yes, we'd have to pull wires for the amber but it's definitely possible.
