What happens to someones deposit if they order a Raptor and later change their mind? Returned or dealer keeps?

Edit…are you talking about the original $100 reservation deposit? I thought they stopped taking those.

If you mean the "deposit" you pay the dealer when he orders that would be whether he says it's refundable, or not. If it's the $100 we paid at the time we reserved our spot to order, and we don't complete the order I would think it would be returned by the dealer.

If your dealer keeps your $5k deposit then turns it around and sells it for a $30k ADM on top of that, that’s totally messed up

That's a hefty deposit. A good conversation to have with your salesperson and/or the general manager, and make sure the paperwork you sign is clear as to what happens to that $5k deposit if you back out, dealership backs out, Raptor not delivered, vehicle production is delayed, that deposit is credited to purchase, etc, etc. And, that's a great time to make sure the same paperwork is clear as to what the agreed price will be at the time of delivery.
