Looking to upgrade the audio in my non-b&o 4 door with a soft top.
In the front, Alpine S-S40 4” for the dash then kicker ks series 6-3/4” and run them on a 4 port amp under the drivers seat.
Then add a stinger 12” tailgate sub and run it on a single port amp under the passengers.
I haven’t looked in to amps too much at this point, but I have seen Audio control acm 4.300 and 1.300 (sub) used. I’m assuming with two different amps I would need an external dsp processor? Let me know if you have any input. Learning as I’m going.
I’ve been reading a lot the past couple days and everyone seems to think upgrading the pod speakers in the back is pretty much pointless.
If I were to upgrade the pod speakers would it be better to let it run off the stereo or should I upgrade the amp for the sun to a 3 port and run all 3 off it?
Has anybody included them on their audio upgrades? Was it worth it? Did you run it off an amp?
Has anyone excluded them from your upgrade and happy with it?
