My son had 30 days of fun and games (sarcasm alert) at 29 Palms in July. Only a 1st Lt. he had to oversee a USMC Reserves battalion-size training operation's logistics: everything they shot, ate, used, or rode in. Happily, it came off with very few glitches and no casualties (e.g. heat exhaustion
Military is woefully undermanned, even the Marines. Enlistments are down, and reenlistments especially. Let's just hope China doesn't exploit this. Or the Russians. Or the West/Central African states...Mexico...
