The overlanding stuff looks cool but since I'm new to the offloading scene I think I'll just get the tent for a camping trip and then add stuff as I see fit.

My vote went to engine and trans. I own a fully molded track car (Bmw) So I won't be trying to get speed records out of my WildTrack, but with simple downpipe and a tune can really wake it up and depending on whats out there an engine tune can make it a better dailey. Might consider an exhaust if the 2.7 can make some growl. Everything else I plan on stock and should plenty for me with squatch

The worst thing is for my Bronco to get lost in a parking lot because it looks like all the other Broncos. I never keep a vehicle that looks stock.

I would have to see how good the Sasquatch lift is and what kind of travel it has and what the clearances are.

Reading the forum has made me a little sad.

I prefer to live with something for a while and learn what I need and don't need.

I don't believe in modding for the sake of doing so.

So I'll likely make changes but they be a matter of meeting a need or short coming in the design.

I will start with my BL manual 2 door getting 35's and wheels. Hope they offer a ford performance 2" lift and tune which I can add later. Probably will want a smaller/slimmer aftermarket rear bumper. And definitely will get seat covers. Possibly add ARB spotlight/floodlights.

Im adding every Ford accessory that I can fit, and BFG 315s, but other than that, nada.

100% pure Ford.

Im torn on fully modifying my First edition (Long travel, bubble fenders, etc) and keeping it forever or leaving it stock and trading it for the Warthog as soon as it comes out.
Same here. But I’ll have to modify it. Otherwise it won’t have any personality and it will be just like the Broncos in the Avis car lot (once reservations are caught up on). I drive rentals cars every week for travel, I want my personal vehicle to have some sort of personality.

Most likely I’ll start with wheels, 37’s, lift if needed, and bumpers. All except the lift can transfer to the warthog if thats the route I go in a couple years. If not, long travel and fenders here I come!

I definitely plan to change things little by little throughout the vehicle.

The responses didn’t leave much room for middle ground...I’ll probably do some suspension mods, some engine mods, some to improve off road ability otherwise, some lighting and cabin mods...a moderate amount of things. The responses were basically: change everything, change nothing, or just mod one certain area. None of those fit what I’ll do, and a lot will do.
this vehicle is awesome out of the box with Sasquatch...but it screams to be modded.
My bad, didn't think to add a middle ground option, I can always go back and add that in

Intercooler might be the most important thing here. The intercooler on my Explorer ST is almost identical to that of a Focus ST (which is a joke) and the truck runs really hot. Plan on replacing it with a Whipple intercooler, which should literally make it run 30-50 degrees cooler. Definitely something to look into, esp with the 2.7.
There was a whole thread on this on the Mustang Forums, which is why I always stress it.

Yeah, what a damn shame it's not adequate from the factory for those who push it a bit

I'm more thinking about buying or building an off road trailer with a RTT on top, kitchen and storage underneath, I've seen some nice options there. Set up basecamp and go exploring instead of having to wrap everything up and leave the campsite.

I don't live anywhere close to trails where I could just run out every weekend, so lugging all that camping/overlanding stuff around all the time makes little sense to me. Would be different if I had trails at my backdoor though, I'm jealous of those that can just hit the trails any time. Might move to such an area once the kids are done with school and my wife is retired.

That's my preferred route. If you mod right away, you won't be able to appreciate the improvement over stock.

OEM is usually the most cost effective, not necessarily the best.

When it comes to 4x4s, I guarantee you that an aftermarket lift is vastly superior to OEM if you do your research and source the parts correctly--and then properly install them.

The problem with a new platform is there may not be a huge aftermarket, I'm interested in seeing what OME/ARB can be repurposed from the Ranger to the Bronco, since good lifts by ICON and FOX may take a while to come out at launch.
