LED backlights as turn signals

Is this the dumbest idea? Or potentially interesting? Tries searching but couldn’t find anything - sorry in advance if I’m missing it.

Would using something like this https://a.co/d/1NkL9zZ (not saying this exact one at 3ish stars) to have my LED fog backlighting double as sequential turn signals be idiotic? I’m bored and sick today so if so then I blame this all on some weird fever dream.

I guess there's nothing stopping you from tapping into the rear turn signal lines like the trailer kit does.
