Installed the 500.1 over the weekend with Kicker 8" 2 ohm wired in series (4 ohms resistance), Gearshade box, 4 gauge power, Enfig harness to replace non-B&O factory sub (RCA connections). Ground is bare metal. DC Offset is on (may use remote wire on the harness, but we'll see), input is Lo, gain match went to about 1/3 before the light came on at 23 volume. Ran the algorithm twice, once with 0 dB tones and once with -5 dB tones. Sound is quite constrained (but I do have sound), so I ran the -5 dB again. This time I noticed the light blinked twice, indicating the corrections did not save. Kicker says to check for a net increase in voltage, but I have sound. Any ideas on why the autotune won't save? Thanks!

@RlsTheBracken - not sure if it matters or not, but I’ve used the -10db tones for the Key 500.1 - https://www.kicker.com/key5001-testtones. Says at the bottom “
  • -10dBFS: Designed only for Subwoofer applications, there will be less dynamic range but higher potential audio output levels. With this set up you can get some clipping from the amplifier.“
Not sure if this will make a difference but perhaps worth trying ? I’ve set up 2 systems with the Key 500 and used the -10db tones both times. If you’re going to blow it away and start over to try, just make sure you factory reset. Let us know how you make out - I’m sure others will chime in.

“To reset the KEY algorithm, press and hold programmingbutton 10 seconds. The Gain Match LED will flash 5
times indicating the KEY Algorithm has been reset.”
