KC Lights - Gravity Titan Ditch Lights (Hitting Antenna)

I've recently installed the KC Gravity Titan 6" A-Pillar/Ditch lights on my Bronco. Using the KC supplied bracket for the Bronco, the light hits the antenna on the
passenger side. This requires me to wither bend the antenna out of the way to remove the cover, or move the light to remove the cover then move the light back. Neither option is ideal considering...

When talking with KC customer support, their response was to either adjust the light so it didn't hit the antenna, put a smaller light in that location, remove the antenna, move those lights to a different location on the bumper or return for a refund.

I have the lights adjusted to the pick up to the edge of where the headlight beam ends. So, no they aren't pointing in the "ditch," but I would think a $1,000 set of lights with brackets advertised as designed "specifically" for this vehicle and light combination would allow full range adjustability. Hell, their website even recommends the exact light I purchased.

Is there another bracket people are using with this light? I really like the light, I just don't want it rubbing on the antenna.

Honestly, I'm disappointed with KC in this situation. A $1,000 set of lights with specific brackets made for the light and vehicle combination shouldn't need me to find a work around or drill out holes to make them operate...

I don't know that those particular lights were intended to go there, however take a look at badassmounts.com for their mount setup. I have that with my KC Flex Era 4 lights and it works fine.

Why not have a product with full adjustability as stated?

When you look up A-Pillar light adjustment, most sources recommend having the light aim 20-degrees up to 45-degrees, roughly 20-degress gives a continuous beam of light from A-Pillar, factory headlights to A-Pillar. Lets be real here, VERY few of us are using these lights for "off-road ditch lights" in crawling applications. So, I'd rather have my lights "generally" adjusted to be used in daily real world scenarios.

I'm using these more for spotting deer as I drive. I live out in the country and see about 10 deer at night anytime I leave the house. I don't need to see the deer after I've already hit it, that defeats the purpose of the light entirely.

I'll look into those, but you don't have much clearance and I'm afraid the larger 6" light will be in the same situation. I may just end up doing an antenna delete. These brackets seem to work fine with the Gravity PRO6 light, it looks to have a different light mounting position in pictures that brings the light further back.

I'm about to run out and see if flipping the light mount backwards would give me anymore clearance.

I got the Gravity 6" light to have the same light at the top light bar when I get those. I like the look of the 6" light to be honest...

Yeah the nice thing about the Bad Ass Mounts is the entire assembly pivots away from the mount. That pin gets pulled and you can rotate the base. The fact that the lamp sits on a tab that extends away from teh base will give you the clearance you need on the antenna side.

Possible solution / work around:

The way the light mounting brackets were installed from the factory caused the lights to be pushed too far forward. Once I swapped the light bracket around, it cleared just fine!

I'm not sure if this is how it's supposed to be, but reversing the mounting bracket works for this application.

The only draw back to this, is I'm not limited in aiming down. I'll have to wait until tonight until I can re-aim them and see how it does.

How the light brackets were installed out of the box:
Notice how far forward the light sits on the mounting bracket? It's offset pushing the light about 1/2" forward on the bracket.

Reversed the light mounting bracket:
Reversed the bracket, moving the light back about 1/2" allowing plenty of room and no longer hits the antenna.

Now has clearance:

Here is an install we did with the KC Gravity lights and the KC Bracket:

We had no issues But that's also because this customer had a stubby lol.

You could use our KR Off-Road brackets. You would use the stud that's on our bracket already and you'd need to use a large washer or two since the opening on the KC is REALLY big, as they designed it to be used with their carriage bolt. BUT it would work
