Evening everyone,
I've looked through a myriad of AUX threads and found a lot of good information about wiring lights using the existing AUX switches and the various circuits in the Bronco but I am a novice to wiring and want to make sure I do it right. I have four KC Apollo Pros that I got for free from a buddy. They each draw about 8.3 amps and I want them running to two AUX switches since two are driving lights and two are spots. I purchased wiring harnesses for each pair of lights that has a relay and in-line fuse. Attached is the diagram KC sent me to explain how I would use the relays to wire lights to the AUX switch, discarding the switches that come with the harness (this picture shows six lights and three relays, so just apply the same rules to four lights and two relays).
My basic understanding is that I do the usual yellow wire to the battery and black to ground, but the green wire I CAN connect directly to the AUX switch of my choice (thinking AUX 5 and 6 since I'm just using the AUX switches as triggers while the relay handles the power draw). Is this factual? I literally just want to connect the relay to the AUX wire directly and not do the whole AUX wire to circuit B1 and running it through the glove box and roof. That's how my brain interprets my situation (not saying I'm right).
My next question is how do folks run their harnesses up to the roof? I saw a post where it seems like the thicker harness cables were stuffed under the weatherstripping running up the windshield and/or the A pillar. I want it to look clean.
Thanks in advance for the help!
