Well got my Bronco aligned. The 4x4 technician spent almost 3 hours on getting the 4 wheel alignment perfect. He said the Bronco is very sensitive on the cam bolts. He showed me on the screen and then barely moved the cam bolt and how easy was to get out of whack for your caster and camber. He also adjusted rear track bar and my Synergy track bar is almost maxed out to get the thrust angle to zero. Which is kind surprising I would think it would have more adjustment
Bronco tracks straight on the highway and the added caster makes the steering heavier and not so light and floaty. The steering feels almost like my Ranger Raptor as for stiffness and the steering returns to center very quickly. Front end also feels a lot stiffer torisonally going around corners than stock without a lift.
So far I am impressed with the road characteristics of the JBA upper control arms! I would rate the install however an D- or F due to how hard the control arms where to get on on. Next up to test them off-road and durability of the ball joint and bushings!
Got a chance to test my control arms off-road today. Huge difference off-road. With the positive caster, the steering wheel returns to center immediately when crawling and going down the trail in 4low. For instance there was some dead fall in the trail that was covering part of the trail, I decided to go around it and once I got around it I let go of my steering wheel and bam went to center even with some rocks on the trail. Steering is so much better and feels torsionally stiffer. I also noticed my front wheels in the air less and doesn’t feel as tippy. Hitting the CDT trail tomorrow.
