Ford only guaranteed to freeze prices for people who ordered before the March deadline...
Their email said "Offering price protection to all current Bronco order and reservation holders (as of March 19, 2021)." Read literally, if you place a reservation before March 19, 2021, you're protected.

I have cash on hand
Ok. Hope you can find your dream truck. Just remember that there are some commodities to work through. You'll probably need to find a willing participant but if "You have cash on hand" then you should be good to go. 🤷

@EvlNvrDys might have some other search tricks for you. I'll just wait for exactly what I want.

Go to the dealer tomorrow and place the order. Choose the manual, no steel bumper,no tow, soft top and you’ll have it this year. This is what the dealers are required to order for the stock Broncos and reservations come before those.

No….

Allocation is for MY21… since there are more orders than Ford can produce before MY22 production starts, literally no dealer will receive a full allocation in MY21 to cover all their orders.

All dealerships are receiving somewhere around 30% of total orders as MY21.

The rest of their orders will be filled… it will just continue past the MY22 change over.

Also LOL at everyone who says an order today wont be produced for years. Ford is *begging* people to change their orders, and in order to keep the line running, they have announced they are having to produce dealer stock in MY21 instead.

It’s perfectly possible that someone could place an order tomorrow for a unicorn build and have it scheduled in the next block.

Your best bet is to start watching dealer inventory and sites like ebay for an acceptable configuration then bring your stash of cash to that dealer. You might pay a premium but it's likely your only chance. By the book, you'll be in a long long line that includes people who stayed up all night hitting refresh to get a day 1 reservation then ordered within hours of the order bank opening and still don't have a 2 door VIN.

@Grunkster

Allocation still happens after MY 2021 though. However, The Company has not given any info to the dealers about MY 22 as yet (that we know of).

I think it’s roughly 120,000 Broncos a year Ford can produce…. And there’s backlog of about 140k…

….which means back of the napkin puts Ford catching up with all orders by 3rd/4th quarter next year.

There will be dealer “allocation” but really only in the sense of how many each month they’ll get and how much dealer stock they’ll get.

Exactly what I meant. Especially with my experiences with getting a "common" ride: Explorer. Some big dealers here didn't have allocation but others did.
