One more time, for me, b/c I'm slow.

This was my plan. Not a shop in town that will wrap the roof - must be 100% flat. Even sanding it, I am told, will not adhere as the shape must be formed, not modified, as it will "sweat" and eventually crack.

I heard this from Ford, a few body shops and I even took it to Jeep.

How exactly did you do the top?

For what it's worth, I gave up and went with the soft top. Never been happier, but I still like the white top look.

All of the white is KPMF Vinyl K75546 Matte Perfect White from MetroRestyling.com. Chance(wrap guy) cleaned it thouroughly(several times), dealer had ceramic coated it, then applied the wrap. No primer as he was afraid that might chemically damage the MIC. It has been on for about a month and gone through the car wash(not brushless) several times. I know, just don't tell Ford. So far nothing has lifted. As far as longevity, that is the big unknown. I'm hoping for the best. This is an experiment for sure.

This looks great! Planning on going for a retro look for mine, eventually. I'm a little iffy about my MIC top, though. I don't want to do anything to it, that would prevent me from going back to a stock look.

Thanks! After seeing others do the 2 tone grill, I knew that was the way to go and it has a more retro feel.

The grill came out great looks painted! I may have to steal your idea when we get ours, really like the 2 tone!

Really well done. I'm most curious about the black piece on the B pillar. I have a white hard top from adv coming in nov dec jan and I'm afraid that black piece is going to stand out like a sore thumb. I'm going to use your references, chase down the materials, and try to wrap this piece myself. I don't know what I'm doing but I have youtube.

And as many have replied, the grille is perfecto. That bezel effect is the way to go. I'm assuming you had a body shop paint it. Do you have any cost number for just painting the grille?

To pile on to a couple other wheel comments. I have white wheels and they are a little bit of a pain to keep clean. I'm guessing my dirt situation might not be as bad as yours, but they do look way better right after I clean them. Someone else mentioned chrome wheels and I agree that this would be killer on your rig. I saw another VB with the retro kidney chrome wheels (like US Mags) and it's about the best retro look I have seen.
