Should have been a super easy install. Place hitch on frame secure 4 bolt, torque, done. Well……2024 Badlands, Sasquatch with Lux package and no tow package creates a fun detour.
I’ll save anyone with similar plans time. Remove the bumper first, then remove the bracket holding the factory provided wiring harness. Install the bumper but do not follow the Curt instructions, place the bolts head to the rear of vehicle and bolt to the front. Torque to spec and replace the bumper. I secured the wiring harness with zip ties to the new hitch for now. You will thank me later. Also, many thanks to my wife for dealing with my stress on what should have been so easy.

This is exactly what happened and I have to admit she was the first to say “could you just turn them around”. 😂

I JUST got my Curt hitch and went down to my garage with my tools and when I got underneath I was a bit surprised.
I knew the forum would have someone that ran into the same issue.
Thanks for the post!

To be clear, this is the problem right? It seems so excessive for just holding a harness. Also odd to have a harness and no hitch.
I have a 24 Badlands non-sasquatch

Yes sir. That’s exactly it. Take the bumper off and it will be way easier.
