As the title suggests, getting some CV joint binding on slow speed tight turning after installation of 1.5” perch collars.

it clunks once about one wheel revolution. Both left and right.

only made one slow speed test drive, no problems when not turning tight.

scheduled for alignment, have positive camber now, not sure if that will really make any difference.

Did a search, didn’t find an answer.

In 2WD on level ground, not at full droop? Doesn't sound right. Did you remove the CV axle from the spindle during install or just remove the two inner LCA bolts?

2WD or 4WD on level ground.

I used a dead blow to disengage the CV axle from the Spindle.

Used a socket on the nut to pull it back together.

I did fart around with shifting the transfer case into 4L while it was sitting in the garage while in neutral.

it’s not acting like it’s in low tho

More than likely you accidentally separated the CVs when you removed them from the spindle. It's pretty common and why many of us remove the LCA bolts instead.

How do I confirm and correct this?

Not even sure where the separation took place, the CV axle was never fully removed from the spindle.

Check the inner CV's at the diff, not at the wheel. They may have pulled partially out of the diff.
