Strange, but I haven’t seen any ask what you plan to do with a Bronco and what do you want one for?

Honestly, the answer to the above drives any feedback and should drive the decision whether or not to get one and that it’s for you.

A Bronco is an off-roader, so it’s loud, can be uncomfortable compared to standard vehicles, and yes, it can leak and there’s the list of issues. I haven’t personally had any issues with mine over this first year, but I was expecting a few.

I off-road mine and camp, often, so it’s a gem to me as I use it for the purpose it’s built for. The adventures we’ve had and memories made in just one year make my long wait and any potential issues worth it FOR ME.

If you have a reason for getting it and plan to enjoy it, don’t worry about the what ifs; those can happen at any time or you can get T-boned at an intersection, but until you do, live, drive, and enjoy how you use it.
thank you!

It is louder, handles worse, has less convinces, rides worse and has a poorer interior than most any other vehicle (except Jeep) out there…yes I am more than impressed with it and drive it way more than I ever expected to…very happy I got it!
thank you!

I sold my 19 Harley Davidson Edition F150 for my 21 Badlands. I have zero regrets. I have a soft top, so there is wind noise. I also have a light bar, so I get a little whistle. I have the LUX package so I have leather, and dual climate controls which work great. On the road, I have a very smooth and stable ride. Beyond the noise, it is a comfortable ride, especially for a vehicle like the Bronco. I have no regrets about selling my F150.

Now for the part that makes the Bronco so versatile. The aftermarket support. Being a Mustang guy, I dare to say the aftermarket is even larger for the Bronco. You need something, there is a part for it, no matter how big or how small. You can make your Bronco in your image.

I think I am at Mod 25, with 26 coming next month. You can see some of my bigger mods in my sig. My Bronco is not like another Bronco, and that to me is what the allure of these vehicles is.

If you get one, you will truly enjoy it.
thank you!

Most of the big complainers in here bought theirs with expectations that were not realistic in this type of vehicle. Just be aware of what you're getting and you will be as thrilled as most of us with it....
thank you!

this will be my daily driver. i am an avid hiker so need an off road vehicle for the mountains.
Have you test driven one? I wouldn’t want one as a daily driver. Having been a kayak instructor at NOC I am very familiar with the terrain in your neighborhood. A Bronco, from a utility standpoint, would probably be overkill.

yeah, i probably don't need such a vehicle for everyday. but with needing something for the mountains, here and in oregon, and the snow in winter i am coming up with what i think is overall the best. i love my fj which i bought to replace a jeep wrangler that i just never warmed up to. ive not made up my mind yet, just looking for some bronco owners to tell me about some of the issues ive read about. thanks for your reply.

i am going to test drive one in the next week. i only want to have one vehicle so i am thinking the bronco is the most compatible for my needs/wants.

My other vehicle, which is close to my perfect vehicle, is an Audi SQ5. I am typically in ski boots 150 days / year (and am typically at Hood in summer) so I am driving in snow a bit. The Audi's far superior to the Bronco in snow, on most FS roads, and as a daily.

If I wasn’t spending much of my summer on SW CO’s manke FS roads and traversing cattle paths on ranches I probably would not have purchased it.

Enjoy.

Hey all! Thinking about getting a Bronco. I would like to get your thoughts on some of the possible problems I have come across in learning about Broncos. Has anyone experienced leaking through the tops? Valve problems in the 6 cylinder? Excessive or annoying tire noise? Overall how satisfied are you with your Bronco? :)
Has anyone experienced leaking through the tops?

Nope

Valve problems in the 6 cylinder?

Nope

Excessive or annoying tire noise?

Nope Wind noise - on the highway, yup. On surface streets - Nope.

Overall how satisfied are you with your Bronco?

I'm at 28,882 miles today. Had it since 6 miles on the odometer. I love my Bronco. If anything ever happened to it, I'd get another one in a heartbeat.

It was already said. It depends on your needs and what’s important to you and what you’re willing to compromise.

I did a lot of research. I wanted a capable off-roader that I can use as an SUV for the family. I compared the Bronco to the Jeep (Rubicon) and Toyota 4Runner TRD. I ended up with a Badlands Sasquatch.

While I believe the Jeep may be more “robust” due to the solid front axle, I didn’t want to sacrifice on road comfort or drive ability for monster rock crawling (I don’t plan on doing the Rubicon Trail). I also believe the Toyota (in all likelihood) to be more reliable in the long run, but it drove like an underpowered truck and had less room. So I opted for the Bronco Badlands. It’s VERY comfortable to drive, with plenty of power, all while being fully capable of doing what I want it to do. I understood the Bronco is not a luxury SUV and don’t expect the ride or noise level to be like one. But road noise is manageable (I can carry on a conversation with my passengers without a problem) and the ride is smooth (but not like driving on marshmallows - it’s a truck after all). Passengers find it comfortable though it can be a chore to get into (I switched the OEM rock sliders for slider steps-problem solved). And I haven’t had any real issues with it.

All in all, I love it. More importantly, my wife loves it and she wants to get one too. The Bronco provides more giggles per gallon than any vehicle I’ve owned (though there are days, and roads, where I miss my Porsche). Good luck. I hope you’re happy with whatever you choose.
