There's no such thing as too much stance. If the tires don't stick out past the flares, there's not enough stance. I expected more from you being from Texas and all. Shame on you! Lol I'm just kidding. On a serious note though, it's better to have the capability and not need it, than need the capability and not have it. You never know when someone might run you off the road and into a ditch, and if it's muddy.....you don't want to be screwed.
I’d go with the high package as I wouldn’t get Sasquatch on a Badlands anyway, and the 2.3 can be tuned to have more horsepower than the v6 does stock, plus one less turbo to worry about replacing when it fails, and easier access to the motor overall on the 2.3.
Of those options, I'd easily go for the 2.7. I really want the MT but as of right now, I'm forced into the AT with either the 2.7 or the squatch. I'm going with the Badlands as of right now and that gets me most of the squatch pack anyway, at least the stuff I feel is most important to me and I still don't know for sure if I want the 2.3 or the 2.7. I also feel that getting the larger engine will be better for vehicle value in the long run if/when I sell or trade it in. The high pack with the 12" screen would be really nice but if I had my way, I'd skip a touchscreen in favor of regular old physical buttons. I can operate the radio and all that stuff by touch without taking my eyes off the road with physical buttons but with a touchscreen I have to take my eyes off the road every time I want to do something. I can't feel which buttons are what, I can only see that.
