I am installing an amateur radio in my 2021 Big Bend Sasquatch Bronco. The unit is the Icom 2730a. It has a remote head that I am planning on mounting to the accessory mounting point in the center of the dash. The cable is a Cat6 I think, like a phone cable. Has anyone attempted to run a wire l like this through the dash. I’m trying to get the cable from the center of the dash to behind the glove box. I am planing on drilling a small hole in the accessory ready piece. But I am not sure how to run the wire without taking the entire dash apart. I would appreciate any ideas or suggestions anyone might have. Thanks!

There's a path down to the glove box from the accessory mount, takes a minute to fish it through while you hold your breath just right if you don't want to remove anything but the mount. I was able to get a USB A cable through.

Thanks. Is it through the small hole in the center? Or is it to the right side?

Just a thought, I mounted my 2730a above the Visor,

used the m2m radio mount to put the box above glive box (had to modify a little but works great there)

mounted a speaker dead center under the sterring wheel.

Really liked how it turned out.

It's hard to explain, there's kind of a gap to the right and you just feel for it. It helps to run a smaller fish wire first.

That looks great! I bought the same speaker. I wasn’t sure where to mount it. I like your spot a lot. I’m sure you have no issues hearing it from there. How did you hide the wire from the head unit to the box?

I’ve done this USB hub install on 3 different Broncos. There is a lot of space below where it’s mounted to drill and fish wire. When you fish it in aim slightly forward and toward the passenger side. It can take a little patience but you’ll get it into the glovebox eventually

Speaker is in a great location, even for my bad ears!!
For the head unit to box i went down the A pillar. A little bit of a pain to fish but not to bad. If you get the instructions for the IAG lights https://iagoffroad.com/iag-4pc-inte...82mRXu8d-5jjJtZNz2Uyj9-ZqgpeMV7hoCyhsQAvD_BwE
it shows how to take it a part.
I also used M2M basket for the mic. Store it there and have the hook mounted in the side of the basket for when i am using it.
Let me know if you need anything else.

With much trial and error I was able to get the wire from the accessory ready area to behind the glove box. Everything turned out pretty nice. I drilled a hole in the plastic piece that can be removed and added a grommet. So no wires show. Here are some pics if anyone is interested.
