I was about 200 away from being built when they shut it down and my mods showed up this morning. So looks like they are running.Anyone know if MAP is open and running the assembly line today?
As a general statement maybe ... not in this case. I am an engineer and I'm sure Ford has a few as well ... moving the vehicles in and out is a huge waste of manpower and time. If they were nicely lined up sure, but that is not the case. Either method requires people to go find the vehicle (we'll call that a tie); they can spend say 5 minutes driving it to central point, 5 minutes replacing the module and 5 minutes driving it back, or the can replace a module(?) every 5 minutes - sounds like the method they are using faster (for the same man power). Are you saying the gain in efficiency by centralizing the replacement operation more than over comes the time wasted in driving vehicles? Doesn't seem likely for a simple replacement operation - plug out, plug in.Mass install uses labor more efficiently. Yes I am an engineer. I guarantee it’s faster.
Perfect sound track for your 70's detective stylee. Also, good reminder how the 2 doors just kill it from the side view. There's been a little activity lately. They were working on some Broncos at Ice Mountain and moving between MAP and a shipping yard. There's some more snow moving in Superbowl Sunday and then a warmup mid-week.
I found mine! Just kidding. I'm just glad there's not a mountain of ice and snow stretching out my soft top. There's been a little activity lately. That was a beautiful video!! Thank you so much!!!!!!Thanks so much for taking the time to be our eyes, appreciate it!
Yes, my 2022/01/28 blend was finally completed on the line this morning.Anyone know if MAP is open and running the assembly line today?
How did you find out it was completed I have a 1-25 blend and have heard nothing! My BCM module came on 01/28 then I suppose I went to Ice Mountain because my estimated delivery (according to tracker) is May 25. Still shows "in production"Yes, my 2022/01/28 blend was finally completed on the line this morning.
hopefully they were delivering chipsThat was a lot of Amazon deliveries leaving in that one shot.
That was my back up color if the AMB wasn’t making it. Really like the look of the GreenI can't even imagine how frustrating it must be to be taking delivery of a 2021 Bronco Softtop 1/3rd the way through 2022 when you are seeing 2022's delivered.
On a side note, the OBX wheels actually looked good on the Eruption Green OBX - that really surprised me.
Hope you get your Bronco soon.
Yeah. Thanks for this, @porkchop express .@Jo8n , you see yours? Im a 11/29 build week.... pushed est. delivery from 1/3- 2/2, now 4/4
AMB OBX 4dr softie, SAS, 2.7 lux, tow, aux....
Thanks for the eye candy!
Nice to see movement.
Good luck all!
Depending on on the missing modules, the situation may be that the vehicle cannot be driven until the module is installed in the field. E.G. probably just like the F-Series trucks parked at Kentucky Motor Speedway, the trucks were driven to KMS, the module that allowed the truck to drive there was removed so it could be used on the next truck. When a replacement module is available for that Bronco it may be more straightforward to install it in the field than to hook up another temporary module just to move it to a shop for permanent installation.I disagree not the quickest no way. A crew in the cold popping the hood is not quicker than an assembly line type of operation. It could be they don’t have the modules boards and/or crews so this is a slow way to proceed. If the goal was to be faster, there are many options and still do in the yard if no space or moving is the constraint.
