I bagged a Wild Bronco!

What a day! I've been waiting on my 12/2020 Badlands reservation (still waiting) for a while. Got impatient and bought a 2021 Rubicon 4xe (LOVED IT). Pretty much gave up on getting a Bronco especially with the markups until this past Thursday (31st). I was strolling along and saw a dealer with a few Outer Banks, Badlands, Bens, and reserved Wildtraks. They let me take a look at a few.. markup on the Broncs were 15k. After taking a drive in an Outer Banks Area 51 with Lux package... I was like wow... I hate you Ford for not giving me this and proceeded to walk to my 4xe. It was April 31st....a Sales Manager ran out and said "Hey... it's the 31st... we need to sell to meet quota. We are giving deals today." I was like I'm good with my 4xe and I'm not paying a markup but thanks for the test drive. He said he'd wave the Markup! Me being skeptical I still called his bluff. I noticed that YOUNG Sales Manager may have written a check he couldn't cash and they started to give me problems. I won't go into what they did to try to detour me but they did some dirty tactics including ghosting my calls the next day, lying about my rate and they sold the Outer Banks I was approved for. I called my Credit Union and they told yes they sent an approval to that dealership of 3%.... the Dealership told me 8-10%. I called and asked for the General Manager... who was cool.. asked if we could me Saturday at 10am to clear this up. Met with him, he found several other Broncos and said he would honor NO Markup. Had a nice Velocity Blue Badlands but it was base... Manual.. no upgrades... just the modular bumper. Had a few Diamonds and another Area 51 Outer Bands, Lux with Roast Leather. I told him the only way to make this right was to give me all I want for my trade in addition to selling it at MSRP. They gave me 60k for my 4xe... but Ally ... I hate them... added some charges so it didn't pay it off fully. ended up eating a little of that but not much.. 58k out the door on the Banks with trade included. What do you think of that deal?

So... recapping my inpatient journey:

• Ordered Badlands on 12/2020 (No VIN Yet)
• Waffled between Badlands and Outer Banks..
• Waffled between Area 51, Velocity Blue, Rapid Red
• Realized I wasn't getting a Bronco and bought a Rubicon 4xe
• Also ordered a Mustang Mach 1 almost a year after my Bronco order.. got the VIN last week
• Still stalked all the post on Bronco6g
• Bronco hunt just to test dealerships and have fun looking at them
• Bronco hunted this past week and caught one! BAGGED IT!

Now do I keep this or sell it and wait for my order or Mach 1? Or just keep this LUX Outer Banks and roll with it! Loving it by the way! I can't mention the dealer's name... the GM who took care of me asked me not to and I will honor that.

But I vote keep it and enjoy it! Then see which you want to keep one your order comes in. When you decide, sell the other to a forum member at a fair price!
As for the Mach 1, seems like a different class/purpose.... So keep that one too

Good find. Resale on anything soft top doesn’t seem strong enough for you to flip for profit, so maybe you just keep this one rather than your order if you’re happy with the deal. I strongly prefer the Badlands to Outer Banks, but it really depends on how you’ll use it.

Lol. Nice.. that makes sense... and I'll probably have to pass on the Mach now that I got this. Someone is gonna love that thing.. its loaded.

Purvis is my dealer where res is! I didn't buy this from them but bought my 19 GT and my Mach is also reserved there. Lol. I aggravate them weekly. Lol. Their awesome
