Hood issues - lifting on one side at high speeds

Hey guys and gals,

Has anyone had an issue with one side of their hood looking like it’s going to lift off the Bronco while hitting highway speeds? I know there is hood bump stops, but is there a proper tolerance to set them at? It almost looks Like my hood is Shuttering in the middle as well as I’m running 74mph down the highway.

I've noticed that too. Really subtle but can see it move.

I just had my hood replaced for another issue and noticed that the hood was fluttering a little at highway speeds. Raising the hood bumper a little bit at a time until the flutter went away worked great. Just kind of trial and error.

Yep mine flutters and one side is higher than the other. I adjusted the bump stops but it never helped.

I have the same issue. I just posted in another thread about hood alignment. I keep inching the bumpers up but not sure how far to go. I added the plastic front hood protector (the one with the trailing edge bump) which probably worsened the issue.

Mine was doing that too. Best way I think to adjust the hood stops, open the hood, put a little grease (I used aquaphor) on top of them, then close the hood. If it leaves a little on the hood, you should be good. If it leaves a lot, wipe it off, lower and test again. Don't want it too high to push one side up.

The bumpers are really soft and I found that I had to compress the bumpers quite a bit to get the flutter to stop. For me, just trial and error. It didn't affect the hood height on mine.

Many of these hoods are bent so you can only get the bumper tight on one side. I can actually see where my hood has a curve in it on the driver side, which flutters.
