Got a 2023 Badlands soft top 4 door. Ordered a hitch and wire harness through my local dealer. Harness says it doesn’t fit a 2023.

any suggestions

There are two setups depending on your model year.
  • 2021-2023 Broncos
    • VP2DZ-15A416-A - Wiring kit & trailer tow module
    • MB3Z-19D520-K - Hitch Receiver
  • 2024 Broncos
    • VP2DZ-15A416-B - Trailer tow module & hitch receiver (wiring is already in the vehicle)
Just got to buy the correct setup for your Bronco.

For the 24 model it states there is an update for the software, does the dealer have to perform a software update for the 23 and older models as well?

Yes. Well... anyone with FDRS can do it. But yes, for most people it makes sense to have a dealer do it as the up-front cost for FDRS can be high, and having the dealer do it removes the possibility of potential warranty issues.
