Not having any luck searching the forums but just wondering where everyone is mounting hideaway subs and amps. I have the leather interior with heated seats so there is no room under the front seats. I have noticed others using the Kicker 200.4 amp to run the smaller speakers and mounting behind the dash. Where is everyone installing the hideaway. I want this to be as clean as possible. Any room in behind the plastic in the wheel wells? This is on the non B& O system

The reality is there isn't really many places in the bronco. Nothing can go under the back seats if you ever want to fold them down. I couldn't even put a snow scraper under there without jamming the seats up when I went to put them down.

Your best bet is to just replace the speakers and then go with a powered sub so there's no need for an amp. This is what I did with mine. It't not going to rattle your neighbors windows, but it makes a world of difference in overall sound quality.

Trying to avoid anything taking up cargo space but may not have an option. I cant imagine mounting to the tailgate could be a good option either. Are you pleased with the Kenwood? Is that a 10" or 12"

Thanks for the post. I just installed a HS10 in my bronco where did you ground your wire? Having a hard time finding a good spot.

OP....I have the same seat setup as you (leather with heated seats), so my solution was to find a compact powered sub and put it under the back seat at an angle. I went with the JBL BassPro Nano. It puts out amazing bass for it's size, and is well built. In order to fit it under the backseat, I had to put it at an angle, but no degradation of bass in my opinion installed like this. I attached it with heavy duty velcro on the bottom edges and it's very secure and not going anywhere.

The only negative is I have to remove it to fold the seats down, but I currently have two kids car seats back there anyway, so my seats aren't getting folded down anytime soon without a major process as it is. I cleaned up the cabling a bit after I took these pics, but I'm very very happy with this.

I’ll be doing the exact same thing with a kicker hideaway and I plan on having enough cabling that if I have to put the seat down I can move it forward and place it on it’s side behind the driver seat (plenty of space between headrest and back of driver seat). I have the wash out interior however so no carpet…still thinking about how to keep it from bouncing around back there.
