Im trying to wire in the lights. I will use one of the Aux switches which are already powered. The harness has a relay and switch which I don't need.

In this photo, the two light cables are in my hand leaving the power/relay/switch bundle shown.

where do I cut to leave me with just a power and a ground?

I am doing this job today/tomorrow with Ford ditch lights. Ground both lights and then run a red hot over to the drivers side. The connect the red to a switch wire (VT/GN switch 3?) and you are done. Don’t need that harness. I’ll post pics of the quick harness I made in the morning on my build thread.

thanks for the reply. So I could just cut the light wires from the harness and use the hot and ground from each to make the connections you mentioned correct?

The switch wire is already hot. I grounded both lights “local” per Ford instructions. Just ran a red hot to both and then to the switch wire.

I added plugs to everything to make it”removable, but that is just me being”over the top” with the install…

That harness is if you don’t have the switches or anything else. Relay, fuses, etc are protection for the truck, but if you have the switches pre wired, they are already built in…
