Folks, I could use a hand. I just bought the OBD Link MX+ for my Bronco Raptor. I also downloaded FORScan Lite since it told me to. I have my check engine light on and I know it’s because my intercooler got hot driving from CA, but I’m unsure how to clear the code. When you start with OBD Link with a side of GPT it scares me that I’m gonna delete my ford performance tune.
Any guidance would be appreciated.

There's lots of guides, do a search and watch some vids. I think that the lite version can read and reset the codes, but it cant make any changes. I believe the FORScan has documentation at their site. Also the full version has a "trail" that can be renewed when expired (every 2mo). I dont now enough to give any other advice, other than I used it to make some changes.

FS Lite will read and clear any DTC codes just like any other reader. It’s a reader, not a programmer.

Just click on the “Errors” icon to see codes, and then it gives you an option to clear them.

I must be doing something wrong because when I go to “Errors” and then hit the trash can, they delete in the app but it if I were to reconnect they are right there again and the check engine light remains on. I know what the code is and it should clear the check engine light but it doesn’t.

Have you tried using the native ODBLink app? When I first tried Forscan Lite it kind of threw me for a loop and it wasn't exactly intuitive.

It shows the error and when you drill down via the “more” arrow, it gives you the code. A few examples attached here.

The fault may be persistent because something is actually faulty, and that’s why it won’t clear. As already said, you’ll need to drill into what specific codes are being thrown. If you run out of patience with Forscan, just drive into Da Zone or someplace like that and have them put a code reader on it.
