New to the group. I am taking delivery early next week of a New (left over) 2024 4-door Wild Trak.
I am not new to owning 4x4s and I will be showing my age by listing some of the past vehicles In our household…
1977 Chevy Scottsdale short bed (With a plow)
1990 Chevy S-10 Blazer
1995 Nissan Pathfinder SE
1998 Nissan Pathfinder LE
1998 Toyota Land Cruiser
2004 Toyota Land Cruiser
2010 Ford F-150 Lariat
2011 BMW X5
2013 Chevy Avalanche Black Diamond
2012 BMW X5
The Bronco will replace the 2012 BMW that was my late wife’s DD. After she passed I used it for my winter DD and rainy day summer car. During the non-winter months I alternate between two “fun“ cars, a 2012 Cadillac CTS-V coupe and a 2016 Roush Stage 3 Phase 2 convertible.
I was deciding between new 2025 4Runner and the Bronco, but I wasn’t crazy about purchasing a first year model and I wasn’t sure about going hybrid With the 4Runner. As much as I like the Bronco, I have had a bad experience with our previous F150. Ford definitely lost (on me at least) on the extended warranty I purchased with it. I’m not kidding, when I say that warranty paid for itself many times over and probably paid for every other extended warranty I have purchased. How many people can say that their 107,000 BMW was more reliable than my 110,000 mile F150, many times over.
Nonetheless, I’ve read generally positive things about the Broncos, and I‘ve talked to several people who own them and they seem pretty happy, so I figured I’d give Ford another try, however I will be purchasing an extended warranty.
In summary, sorry for the long post. Just wanted to give a bit of background on myself. hoping to learn a lot from this group and looking forward on taking delivery of my new vehicle.
