Hello everyone!
About a year ago, my wife (non-car person) said, we should get a Bronco! I replied, who are you and what did you do with my wife, haha. She then said, we should get a fun car before we good to old. It ended there as we had a lot of other stuff going on. Well, in what might have been a sign, my trusty old Outback was rear-ended a week and half ago and declared a total loss. I immediately got excited about shopping for Rubicons, but decided to at least take a quick look at a Bronco on the way. The Rubicon was as advertised...I didn't like the highway handling as it was "active" on the highway and I felt cramped inside.
So after being away from Ford for a couple years (all I've ever owned before the Subaru were Mustangs and F150s), we were excited to take delivery of a '24 Badlands in carbonite grey yesterday! It's a nice build - the dealer said it was a custom order for a customer who changed their mind: 334A package, 2.7L, black painted hardtop with sound deadening and soft top, Trail Control and Turn-Assist, and a bunch of other individual add-ons.
It is awesome! I got home and immediately took off the hardtop to enjoy a few more weeks of warm weather in Michigan. Hoping to do some minor mods in the coming weeks and months starting with an in-bumper fog/off-road light setup.
Great to be here - please reach out if you're in the Grand Rapids, Michigan area!
