Hey all! So here's a super simple fix to the obnoxious whistle coming from the driver's side mirror-- which admittedly took me some time to pinpoint. I'm sure there's a handful of other fixes out there, but this worked for me.

Run some RTV along the seam. I ran some painter's tape along the outside of the mirror just to keep a clean line, but otherwise it's just that simple. Whistle gone.

Hope this helps.
Cheers! 🍻

Thx! I may give this a try. Now that it's getting warm out again, I have my windows open more, and it's pretty annoying.

Just to clarify, was it like a high pitched whistle? Mine is more of a wind passing over a gap noise. Almost like if you were blowing over the top of a beer bottle. It's on both sides. Driver & Passenger.

and you put this stuff up the entire seam? (circled in red)

I know the thread is older but I have this horrible whistling noise from driver side mirror. Looking online and found a service bulletin that calls for dealer to replace mirror recap with part number 17D743. Has anybody taken theirs back to the dealer and tried this?
