Headrest Hack

I posted this buried as a sub-sub-tangent reply in another thread but thought I'd post it for anyone else who doesn't like the forward-angled headrests. Don't start bending the metal posts in your vice!

Pull the headrest off and reverse it. I just did so to make a little room for my hat brim and keep the headrest from crowding me in general. Bam.

Total time of effort: five seconds. Tools needed: zero. Level of expertise required: Idiot (me).

Also interested. I assumed with all trims you just have to pull it up all the way and then adjust, otherwise, it will not budge.

I heard somewhere that MGV seats don't have adjustable headrest. Stupid, huh?

Mine is the Black Diamond with MGV. Not sure about other trims, but some folks had complained about the forward angle and it not being adjustable. Mine doesn’t bug me when not wearing a hat with a brim. I’m also not sure how the reversed set up will play in terms of preventing whiplash in an impact—if it’s too far back from my head or not. Got to be better in that regard than my last vehicle, where I removed the headrest altogether.
