Harkin Hoister Clamshell Lift installed

I should have cleaned up my thought process while typing. I was thinking of the 2x6's crossways underneath between the guide pins for the lift.

Funny, I considered that approach as well, but decided against it as (my thinking anyways) it would make it a bit more difficult to attach top onto Bronco solo…if you do this please post, would like to see it

bought set of these - just used clamps and fits perfect to lift back. Side note fits in side crossbar slots as well.

I used on the front quick links at the two front bolt spots.

So much better than using the straps IMO, quicker too.

Just wanted to check back after having used the Harkin Hoister for a while now. I really like it and it’s working great! Have removed/reinstalled top several times now and it’s super easy to remove/reinstall the top solo. I was going to look into adding a winch, but it’s so easy to use, not going to bother with it. Honestly, the hardest part is backing the Bronco under suspended top so it lifts/lowers straight w/o brushing against D Pillar. Getting the hang of it and planning on marking garage floor next time I reinstall the top. Would recommend this hoist system to anyone!

One of the many attractive things (to me) about the Bronco is it’s ability to easily become a convertible and driving with no tops…roll up the windows and wind just flows right over you - even at freeway speeds. I’m fortunate to live in a very moderate weather area where I can slap MTB on hitch mount rack and drive w/top off most of the year I’ve owned several convertibles over the years and the Bronco is one of my favs, perfect active lifestyle ride
