So I called ChemGuys and just asked them if they had experience with our MIC hardtops and what would they recommend.

This is in no way an endorsement.

I just thought as long as these have been out now I wondered if they may have some recommendations for us. The guy I spoke with said "let me check with our detail specialists and get back to you"

Here's what they sent me:

Thanks for reaching out. Here's a recommendation for the Bronco top: https://www.chemicalguys.com/produc...mic-shine-coating?_pos=1&_sid=2aaa76048&_ss=r

The vids aren't specific for our MIC so take it for what it's worth. I just thought I'd share their recommendation

Please remember, I haven't tried it yet so I can't speak to the safety/effectiveness or endorse it. I just wanted to share what they gave me.

I do intend to give it a try.

I clean with either car wash soap or rinse less wash ONR. For protection I use Technicians choice 582. Works for me.

For what it's worth update.
This weekend I cleaned her up and applied the ChemGuys Hydroshield per the recommendation I got when I called them (ChemGuys). It went on without any discoloration or odd marks and looks great. Granted, mine is brand new so there's that. I suppose time will tell but initially it looks good and no ill effects.

Also used the ChemGuys spray wax (banana something?) they sent along as well for the body. Seems like a good option, easy to apply. I'm no detailer but it beats the crap out of my old wax-on/wax-off days for sure.

Thanks for the update. I ordered some but have not received it yet.
