Handle swap - blue to orange

continuing with my orange accents, I knew I had to make this happen. The orange handles I bought came with the gray plastic and not the tan that mine has. Simple fix; 2 screws to swap out the colored handle piece from one to the other.

I need to order a set of the Heritage handles, seems they are red to match my red/black theme on my Race Red Wildtrak.

I'm really considering installing the red handles and leaving them as they are on the black frame instead of swapping them over to the tan. Since I've gone with the black and red seat covers and that's the theme that has evolved for the Bronco, I'm thinking they will look good just as they are. More utilitarian looking leaving them black. With all the black around the handles from the lower dash and A pillar and instrument cluster, it should look fine.

I changed mine about a year ago just as you said and left the black/red. Recently took them apart and switched back to the tan/red by taking out the two screws.

I can say both ways look ways look good

Are you saying that you're able to take the red & black handles apart, and put the red striped piece from the red & black handles into the tan piece?

If so, do you have photos of the swap you've done?

I don't think I want to replace my handles without seeing how the red & black handles look in a WT, or without knowing if I can swap the red stripe for the blue stripe in the original handle.

Yes you can take them apart with a torques bit. Just 2 screws on the inside.
I don't have any photos of when I had the black and red on, but here's the tan/red.

The red and black actually looked better than I expected. I may end up switching back to that.

Sprinkles on the icing of your cake might hopping on Etsy and getting red replacement tabs for your vents to further eliminate the blue. I have orange on the way for mine

I'll post the black/red here in a few. The blue does just pop right out.

I've been thinking about doing the tabs. How easy are the to install?
Do you remove the old tabs or are those just overlays?

haven't received mine yet, but I watched the install video and they are replacements. Flat blade screwdriver to press up on the bottom of the vent, pull it out and then swap the colored tabs.
