Why would you pay $850 to ship. Ask Granger for a courtesy delivery and most likely that will be $500. Ford will ship it for you from the plant.

At $850 you are just saving $150 under invoice. Is that worth it to have your Bronco shipped from the plant to granger and then from granger to you?

So, I contacted "my" shipper, Lepke Auto Transport, that I have used for my past two deliveries and they quoted me $850 to ship down to Georgia. I asked if there could be a discount if they were able to ship multiple vehicles down here .... and he said about $50 discount per vehicle. He noted that with the size of such of a vehicle, that there's a good chance multiple vehicles will not be able to be shipped at one time.

I am also wondering how Xplan is going to work out on this vehicle. I switched my reservation to Granger Ford yesterday and look forward to buy from them. Will they also honor First Responders and healthcare worker discounts?
If there are programs that you qualify they are yours to have.

We just need Ford to put that information out.

Not much - just more detail..

I want the 6G members to have all that I can share from Ford so you all can digest it as well.
So this means we can just wait until December to switch dealers when the time to convert happens? Would save the Ford call center alot of calls.

Ok, this is what I was asking. So the information from yesterday does conflict the information from the 29th :(

The whole time they were saying we could switch dealers when we receive the: "It's time to order your Bronco email" reservation to order conversion email.

That was how it was.

Now the 10/312020 is the new end date for dealer changes.

The logistics from a dealer standpoint is that if they could convert on order day here is no way we as 1 dealer could process all of our orders in minutes..

It does take time to do this even when proficient.

You will be able to shop prices, from when they come out until 10/31... and chose your dealership to buy from

Does the $1000 under invoice also apply to First Editions? Thanks in advance

Is this the direct shipping option I asked about earlier today? I believe there has to be a dealer for them to deliver it to per @Granger Ford

correct. Granger will locate a dealer near you and asked if they are willing to do a courtesy delivery for them on behalf of you. The receiving dealership will not do this for free. They often charge you $500 (to accept the truck and perform a PDI and also sit down with you to do paperwork)

A courtesy delivery must be arranged when you purchase a vehicle as Ford needs to know where to ship it. Mother Ford does not care if you are 10 miles or 2000 miles from the plant. They charge a delivery fee of $1495 and they don't care where they ship it.

Sounds like a great plan in theory since you're paying $1495 already. I would definitely pay a local dealer $500 vs $1000+ for shipping.

My next door neighbor is old college roomies w/ the owner of a big Ford dealer here (Wade Ford). Trying to see if he'll do it for me.

Thank you Raptor911 .... I'll take a look at this, though, my savings overall are far superior vs going with my local dealership. So in either case ... this is a win for me. I would find it critical to have the PDI, so if DMK08 has a local solution, then I would interested as well. Thanks again to both of you!

I wonder if this applies to the Bronco?

Not really,

There is too much speculation on how the courtesy shipping works on this forum so I may need to prepare a thread for it.

Eh, great hospitable people in the state of Iowa. We all should just drive over and hangout with you all for a bit. I'm sure there's a couple enjoyable places to grab a bite to eat and couple barley pops close by.
