My old hometown you wouldn't have to worry too much, so long as you actually didn't leave the keys in the vehicles

Again, nothing's guaranteed, but you should be better off in certain places than others, and if it's a soft top, take the few extra minutes to zip it back up to be safe

Never an issue in my jeeps. I wouldn’t lose sleep over it. The birds crapping is the only problem i have ever had. Another reason not get cloth.

Thats why i'm going BD, it has basically a washable inside (seats/floor) so if birds feel like having a party or some a-hole, i can just wash it out.

Plus my kids will probably make more of a mess than anybody else so.

No problem going topless. I would park my old Bronco topless all summer long. I kept nothing in the Bronco so no fear of items being stolen. Sure vandalism can happen but can’t live in fear...my biggest worry was always rain so I kept a tarp and some bungees in the back just incase.

I feel fortunate working on a military installation. My personal experience I feel safe enough that I never lock my car doors, this place is pretty secure, especially during the day.

The adult aged children living in the dormitory though, that is a whole different story.

I have your same reservations about being exposed in public places though, I think as long as you keep belongings secure and locked away, it should be fine.

Crowds are also a deterrent to theft.

I never had a problem. I had a Tuffy steel trunk box and I did have a sunscreen over the cab, I learned the hard way that birds will target your Jeep if you leave it parked under trees ?

As a rule people are honest, and considerate. Just be aware of where you leave your vehicle, and act accordingly. I've driven Corvette's for years, and so far no one has ever bothered any one of them. Now excuse me, I'm gotta find me some wood to knock on.

I had two different JK's for 4 years and never had a top on either one of them. Zero times was anything every stolen or messed with...

I did see that there was a vault option for the console. I ride a bike too and its never been ,messed with, so that is a good point. Thanks for the confidence booster.

Been an offroader as long as I could drive and had an 84 Bronco II, but never had the experience of going fully topless or doorless. The new Bronco looks great exposed, but I have serious concerns about parking that thing anywhere I can't see it for more than 30 seconds. I am not so worried about theft as I am vandalism or finding someone's McDonald's drink in the back. What is you thoughts on a Sunday drive with the Fam, top off and making some leisurely stops while out an about?

I have a Mustang convertible. I leave the top down sometimes. Also I park far away. Once in a while a Corvette or something like that will park close to me, so my plan to avoid door dent risk does not come to fruition. Looking forward to having no door dents when I have no doors. I like that 2 door with the hole in the middle of the door. I can probably fully open the door on the car parked in the next spot and not even put a scratch on the "hole-y" door.

As for the top... The biggest risk to me is birds and rain, not people.

In high school I had an Alfa Romeo Spider, always had the top down, stopped off at a friends house, came back out and it smelled like . I figured I stepped in it in the yard, nope on the passenger side mat was a nice fresh turd...their cat must have hated me...better than cat pee I guess. I had rubberized mats so I got lucky...

I have never had a problem with the jeep though...never any reason to lock it with a soft top..I mean you can unzip the back windows...
