Full-Size or Mid-size for the New Bronco?

Well, the GC is three inches wider than the current-year Ranger. I didn't see where the GC has a third row, did I miss that?

I agree. I think a lot of you that are wanting a full size might be overlooking the potential of the four door Bronco. It may not be as plush as a Grand Cherokee but in a lot of respects it will compete with it and fulfill what you are wanting.

I know we are only getting the mid size Bronco and I'm good with that maybe later after Bronco and Baby Bronco we'll get a Bronco to take on the Jeep Grand Cherokee.

Careful @Nickp might storm in here and start freaking out if we talk too much about a full size option. Just messing

When I say Jeep, I mean similar wheelbase to a 2dr jeep wrangler. more interior space since the bronco traditionally had a body that was same width and the track, unlike jeep.

Careful @Midnight Blue might freak out and think Ford is only making a Renegade replica. Again I kid

It sounds and looks like the Bronco will have it's own unique front end. That of which should be a more upright full size-ish if you will front end. Probably with a nod to the early Broncos with BRONCO written across the grill instead of FORD. Even the Baby Bronco has very upright grill but with FORD written across the grill.
Now it may not and probably wont come with a V8 but it looks like it will be getting the 2.7 EB and that's a potent, as close to a V8 ( in some cases even better ) as you can get.

So get on board the over excited and painful wait train.

Pretty surprised at the poll results so far, I thought there was more demand for a full size. Apparently Ford made the right decision as far as what will sell.

I myself am on the fullsize bandwagon, since my daily driver is a lifted F150 crew cab and I I'm used to having all the room, and I really dont do any hardcore offroading where a narrower vehicle would be of any benefit.

My guess is Ford believes their current lineup would fulfill your needs. Isn't an Expedition pretty much an enclosed F150 Super Crew?

The width of the current gen Ranger is fairly well in between what a '66-'77 was and what an -'96 was. So the new Bronco it isn't small OR large, if it remains close to the '19 Ranger width.

The size makes me think they are zeroing in on the nostalgia crowd - people who remember the '66-'77 Broncos. Looks like it will be bigger than the old steeds regardless. I look fondly on the three big Broncos I had, but they don't inspire the same passion that an early one does. They were just enclosed F150s; did their job well, but I think fewer people are insane for them. As evidence, you can pick up a big Bronco in fair condition for $3-5k, good luck finding an EB for that.

I voted mid-sized because there was no option for it to be smaller. I think the mid-(Ranger)-sized will be pretty close in size to the 90s full size Broncos. Pleeeenty big. Not interested in the baby Bronco styling I've seen, but at least the shape of what they are showing for the Bronco looks good to me.

I don't know... is it? I've never looked at the Escape's specs. And the question is largely irrelevant; since neither of us have the Bronco's specs, there's nothing to compare it to.

I would hope that the new Bronco is more offroad-worthy than an Escape, 'cause if it's not, Ford's rhetoric will have been extremely hyperbolic and it won't be a contender for my dollar.

Is the Expedition less offroad-worthy than an F150? Not as by as wide a gulf as I hope the Escape is to the Bronco.
