Ford changed my modular hardtop option.

Nobody has a MOD top on their 2022 order. It's a nonexistent configuration. It was not possible to configure a MOD top on an MY22 Bronco.

The dealer was supposed to change it to a MIC top, 99 the order, and then change it back to the MOD top in late 23 or 24 or whenever Ford actually puts the MOD top in the configuration list, and then put a build priority on it. (Ford may have changed all the remaining MOD top orders to MIC when they autogenerated the MY22 orders)

Sounds like the dealer changed the top, and then changed the priority from 99. IF the dealer had not changed the top then Ford would have canceled the order last year.

If it was built as a soft-top that's a screwup.
Being built at all is also a screwup.
Both are on the dealer end, not Ford.

How are they surprised when the dealer is the one who clicks on the "SUBMIT" button?
Unless their ordering system activated itself, retrieved your order record and removed the 99 priority code, then their computer went rogue or they were hacked.

Similar situation happened to me. I made my reservation 7/13/20. Placed my order March 2021. Originally had a dual top option selected, MOD top and soft top. Later received emails about MOD top not being available for MY21. Decided to wait until the MOD top became available so I could get the bronco I originally wanted. Fast forward a few months and I suddenly receive an email with my VIN #. My first thought was that they fixed the MOD top issue. Logged onto my account to see that I now had the MIC top option selected. Called Ford and they told me that the only one with the power to change the option was my dealership. I was furious, tried to get them to change it, but was also told once you have a VIN # there is no going back. Called my dealership who played dumb and said they didn't make any changes. I originally had the choice of 3 tops to choose from, of which I selected MOD and soft combo. Why would I suddenly decide to pick MIC top, the one option I originally chose not to pick?

The salesman I had was flaky, didn't return calls and was seldom in the office. I got switched to another salesman who handled about 75% of the bronco orders. Decided to keep the order with the MIC top, and received it 12/1/21. I thought they were just trying to push my order through, and if I didn't want/accept it they would just sell it to someone else. So I made sure to complete the sale and figured if I were really annoyed I would just sell it for a profit. Everything else went perfectly smooth with my dealer and no ADM talk.

Although I still really would like the painted black MOD top, I am very happy with my bronco. Also happy I waited for the hard top and didn't give in to just going with the soft top.

Right? They've lost some few vehicles to some spontaneous combustion events. They need to replace them ASAP.

Wow! That’s almost exactly my story, except that they chose softtop. Also, I never received an email confirmation of my VIN neither my build week of 4/25. I tried to connect on the app and received an alert that my order was canceled and that I would receive a refund. Now when I connect, there’s no reservation. I tried to get my vin and order details from salesman 3 times and still nothing. Apparently, everyone who had a 4/25 build week received a specific date from ford and I never received anything.

Not to muddy up the conversation here too much, but I'm a 7/14 res and 99'd for Mod top as well. Any news on Mod tops at all?
