So I completely took off my soft top and in the process let the soft top introduce itself to the rear bumper. This is the aftermath. (photos attached).

Seems it is plastic, does anyone know how to fix it? (Is it fixable?)
I would imagine some type of heat would be involved or should I just leave it alone since it's a badge of honor or humility. :)

Badge of humility, if you keep telling that story (must tell true story when spouse is nearby).

But, otherwise it’s a badge of honor and you can tell whatever crazy story you want!

LOL. I keep trying to tell my wife the story is fine if it at least passes the 80/100 test. 80 percent true, and 100 percent funny? Good to go.

You were exploring so intently and further than modern man. You know, due to the off-road prowess of the BL.
You came upon an uncontacted tribe, deep in the forest between Baltimore and Hagerstown.
Upon being met with shouts, angry faces, personal insults, and sharp implements, you decided to use TTA and get the heck outta there via the way you came in.
Spears rained down like, well, rain.
You managed to out-drive (because Ecoboost kicked in, yo!) all but one spear.
And that mark is testament that you barely escaped, having narrowly missed being placed in a stew pot over an open flame.

There's your story. Good luck.

I like the above answers better but the reality is thats a plastic cover over the metal bumper and will need replaced. I have an extra but it would probably cost more to ship than what a new one is.

^ unfortunately this is probably the path if you want a like new fix.
I have a new gouge in a piece of interior trim and a detailer‘s advice was heat gun and sponge. He said it would take a great deal of heat to actually melt it so just go slow.
Probably can’t get it back to new but maybe help,”heal” the cut to some Extent.
Otherwise just the first of more memories to come;)

Ahhh the memories.. Id like to forget this day. First time reinstalling doors I dropped the driver side. Fortunately I found a cheap "fix". Ford accessories rocker guards. Painted upper part body color and left bottom black to cover the pinch welds. Very happy with the end result.

Ouch, the fix looks really good though. I also have a little scratch on my door too. I've learned my lesson - the more hands the better to help. Thanks for sharing.

Break it? upgrade it - perfect time for a new aftermarket bumper that is steel.

I just replaced mine, I don’t think it was that much. Something like $125 and I picked it up at my local dealer.
You will need to remove the bumper and all the support brackets to remove it.

BTW, you will need to remove the license plate surround before you pull the cover off or you will break all the tabs.
